Find a Trusted Sign Company in New Orleans
New Orleans sits below sea level with hurricane season a real annual consideration, so wind load rating on any pole, monument, or projecting sign here is not optional the way it might be inland. The city’s humidity and heat also wear down materials faster than a drier climate would, and neighborhoods like the French Quarter and Garden District carry their own historic design review on top of standard city permitting. A vendor who has actually worked through a New Orleans hurricane season knows which materials and mounting methods hold up.

Signage Built for Hurricane Season
Businesses from the Central Business District to the French Quarter and Garden District need signage that satisfies both the city’s wind load requirements and, in the historic neighborhoods, additional architectural review that inland cities simply don’t have to deal with. American Signs, in business since 1949, and Alternative Signs, a licensed sign and electrical contractor operating in New Orleans for more than 30 years, have both spent decades building and repairing signage through repeated hurricane seasons, that track record is worth asking about directly.
Why Work with a Local New Orleans Sign Company?
A vendor with real New Orleans experience understands the city’s hurricane wind load codes, the added review in historic districts like the French Quarter, and which materials actually survive the Gulf Coast’s heat and humidity rather than degrading within a couple of seasons.
